How qcok.in works
qcok-qc is a Windows desktop app (plus a small companion Android app for on-phone checks) that a mobile-repair or resale shop installs on its own PC. This page explains the two kinds of user - Admin and Employee - and exactly what happens during one QC session, step by step, from the real workflow built into the software.
Admin vs Employee - what each one does
Admin (shop owner / manager)
- Settings: company details, GST, grading and pricing rules
- Creates employee logins and assigns each one a job (QC technician, Inward desk, Billing, Team lead, etc.)
- Adds/refunds QC credits, overrides a grade after testing if genuinely needed (with a reason, logged)
- Full billing/ERP: GST invoices, purchases, warehouse, branch/shop transfers
- Sees every report and every page in the software - nothing is hidden from an Admin
Employee (Operator)
- Logs in and only sees the pages for their assigned job - e.g. a "QC technician" sees QC/testing screens, an "Inward desk" employee sees purchase inward and warehouse screens
- Runs the actual day-to-day QC sessions: connect phone, run tests, record results
- No access to settings, pricing rules or other employees' jobs unless the Admin assigns that job
- A "Team lead" job can additionally correct a grade right after testing, if needed
Roles are enforced in the software itself (not just hidden menus) - an Employee's account literally cannot open a page outside their assigned job.
One QC session, start to finish

Connect the phoneUSB cable, USB debugging turned
on, the on-phone prompt accepted.

Scan or type the Asset ID / IMEIPulls up the
phone if it's already known, or starts a new record.

Start the sessionUses 1 QC credit - or it's a
free retest if the same phone was already tested within the last 240 hours.

Automatic tests run over USBBattery, storage,
IMEI/serial, network, sensors-present and more - usually done in well under a minute.

Manual tests via the companion Android app
Touch screen, camera, microphone, speaker, individual sensors - anything that genuinely needs a person to
confirm, done from a small diagnostic app installed just for the session.

Cosmetic inspectionFront/back/frame/camera
lens condition is recorded, with optional photos.

Pricing (if the employee is allowed to see cost)
Procurement and expected repair cost, used to suggest a grade and price.

Finalize and gradeAn incomplete session gets
no grade and no certificate, on purpose - there's no way to print a certificate for a phone that wasn't fully
tested.

Certificate PDF + sticker printedA QR code on
both links to a public page anyone can scan to verify the result (without ever exposing the full IMEI).

Diagnostic app removes itselfThe companion
app auto-uninstalls from the phone once the session is finalised.
